[he finishes this message and hits the send button. after this, he records another video message.]

Hey Sisuca! Look, I got my first badge! [he brings the badge up with his free hand to show her.] I've got a long way to go to catch up to you, but I'll definitely make it! Let's have cake to celebrate, okay?

[now that this message is done, he'll send it to sisuca--]

[marui frowns. that's... not supposed to happen. so he tries to send it again.]

[and again. this time, he accidentally broadcasts his recorded video to the whole network too.]

[shit. marui looks worried. and very sad. he takes a deep breath, eyes closed and pinches the bridge of his nose-- boys don't cry after all.]

[the video feed ends there, but anyone at the inn would find a redhead sitting at the lobby, holding a munchlax like a teddy bear, with his 'Gear on the other side of the couch, just staring off into space.]

I'd say it comes with the territory, yeah. [Leaning back in his seat.] A kid like you shouldn't be so down. I'm sure ya got a lot goin' fer ya.

[he smiles. a stranger's trying to get his spirits up, that's gotta be something right there.]

Yeah. I've still got friends here, and... well. I got my first badge. Guess I shouldn't be that devastated about her going... [the smile fades a bit, but he shakes his head, trying not to think about it.]

Ah - [A pauses, nodding his head.] So that's what it's about, huh. It's one of those things ya can't do much about, but it doesn't make it any better. Nothin' wrong with being down about someone leavin', especially if yer close with them.

[he nods in agreement.] I know that, but...

Isn't it selfish? To wish that she hasn't gone back to her own world just yet.

Nah - it's a pretty normal thing, I'm willin' ta bet. [Offering a reassuring smile.] This place is pretty unpredictable and all. Ya go makin' friends and then ya don't know if and when you'll see 'em again...

[It's kind of like war, in that way, he thinks. You go into battle with someone, and there's always that chance someone important to you just won't come back. His smile fades a bit at thought for a moment.]

I can't help but feel horrible, though. [he sighs.] Do you think she'll remember me, back in her world?

[He leans back in his seat, looking up at the ceiling.] Tough ta say. I'm not really sure how any of that stuff works.
